In our times of need we can't be alone. We
have our best friends for companionship, and when they're
missing, we need to reach out to others, others who can help us
through these times and might have suggestions. You never know
where the one link to success will come from. You've gotten
here, so you're on the right track. Now keep browsing and
hopefully you'll find more. |
Here's
a link to a survey to see if you are ready for a malinois!!
Resources to locate and get the word out
-
K9 Amber Alert - Nationwide Yahoo Group
If we
reunite only one dog with its owner, this list will have served
its purpose.
This is a nationwide group to be used for posting alerts for
missing dogs throughout the United States and Canada similar to
the way Amber Alerts are used to help find missing or abducted
children.
-
PetFinder.com
- http://www.petfinder.com
This site will provide you with links to local shelters to
contact them and alert them to be on the look out. It also
has an area for classifieds that allow you to post lost pet
notices by state. Check the FOUND PETs ads, as well.
- Craigslist.com
- http://craigslist.com
Great for posting free local listings. This list is scoured
by mainly the young, but also the hip and active audience --
folks who are out and about in the community, and will let
you know if they see your lost pup.
- Avid
MicroChip - http://www.avidmicrochip.com/
If your dog has been microchipped, check your
information to ensure it's updated.
- Fido
Finder - http://www.fidofinder.com
This is also a location where you can post ads about lost
dogs. This one is free for a very basic listing, but
requires additional costs if you want to post more
information.
and www.pethunters.com
- these are links to some great resources and reference
information on finding lost pets.
- Constant Contact
:
Constant Contact is a wonderful
email marketing tool that allows you to send email blasts the
"right" way. You're email isn't spam and your
message is important. Get your message across quickly and
easily using their amazing tools. It's the tool that actually
got Jocko home!!!
-
www.findthatpet.com - A free website that lets
lost and found pet owners post listings with a photo and
details for free. We are also one of the only lost and found
websites that use maps so you can pinpoint exactly a pet was
lost or found.
- PetSafe now offers a new collar

Shepherds of all varieties. I encourage all interested in
Belgians to visit these two!!)
